Sahoro Resort Ski Resort

Sahoro Ski Resort Map
Mid-Sized, Yet Highly Efficient
The resort features 21 courses, with a maximum slope angle of 39°, runs stretching up to 3,000 m, and a vertical drop of about 610 m. While not enormous in scale, the design is clever, allowing skiers to return uphill quickly for smooth, fast-paced circulation.
Trail distribution: about 35% advanced, 40% intermediate, and 25% beginner—ideal for families and skiers of all levels.
High Sunshine Rate & Panoramic Views
The Tokachi Plain boasts an impressively high rate of sunny days. From January to March, more than half the days are clear (51% in January, 74% in March). The striking contrast between blue skies and white snow creates dramatic scenery.
From the summit and mid-mountain trails, skiers enjoy sweeping views over the Tokachi Plain and Hidaka Mountains—vast, open, and breathtaking.
Well-Equipped Facilities
The resort is serviced by one large gondola and eight high-speed chairlifts, ensuring fast mountain access.
At the base, a central hub provides rest facilities, with most runs flowing directly back to this area—allowing efficient circulation without repeated queuing for transport.
Winter Experiences Beyond Skiing
The resort offers a variety of unique activities: nighttime snowcat stargazing tours, downhill snowshoeing, ice cave fishing, and Air-Board sledding—perfect for visitors seeking more than skiing alone.
