Although Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort is not officially part of the Niseko United alliance,

it’s located right next to the Annupuri area—just a few minutes away by car—boasting a prime location.

This small yet charming resort has earned a reputation as a “hidden gem” among advanced skiers and locals,

thanks to its top-tier powder snow and uncrowded slopes.

Ski Slopes: 8 in total (1 beginner, 4 intermediate, 3 advanced)
Lift Facilities: 3 lifts (including one high-speed quad chairlift)
Best For: Intermediate to advanced skiers, but also beginner-friendly

Why Choose Moiwa?

1. Powder Snow Quality Comparable to Niseko United—But 90% Less Crowded

2. Tree Runs & Off-Piste Freedom
Moiwa has a relaxed, freeride-friendly layout, with open tree runs and off-piste zones. It’s a playground for advanced skiers and snowboarders looking to push their limits in untouched terrain.

3. Peaceful & Beginner-Friendly
Despite its compact size, Moiwa offers beginner slopes, a kids’ area, a ski school, and rental services—great for families or first-timers who want to avoid the crowds and learn at a relaxed pace.

Though modest in size, Niseko Moiwa’s charm lies in its “low-key but high-quality” atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can fully soak in the serenity, the powder, and the joy of skiing—without distraction.

Whether you’re a Niseko regular or a first-time visitor, if your schedule allows, a day trip to Moiwa is absolutely worth it. Discover this hidden snowy treasure for yourself.
